For a day at the coast, towns such as Whitstable famous for its oysters, Hythe’s pebble beach, and Sandgate with interesting antique shops, are all well worth a visit. There is easy access to the Eurostar and the Channel Tunnel for those looking for something further afield in France, so don’t forget to bring your passport!
